Mike “Dr. Mike” Seastrom has been involved in square dancing since 1960 and calling since 1963, beginning in unexpected fashion after losing a bet to his mother and later trying to teach his sixth-grade teacher what he considered “real square dancing.” Alongside a successful 47-year career in dentistry that began after earning his doctorate in 1976, Mike built a reputation as one of the most respected and influential leaders in the square dance world.
A longtime member and leader within CALLERLAB, Mike served on its Board of Governors and earned both the Milestone Award and Gold Card Award for his contributions. He teaches and calls Basic through C-1, promotes the Multi-Cycle Method for teaching new dancers, records for Rhythm Records, and conducts clinics and seminars around the world. Today, calling has become more than a hobby—it is a lifelong passion supported by his wife Lisa and family.

Since 1985, Paul and Linda have dedicated their lives to teaching, cueing, choreographing, and promoting round dancing. Based in Kansas and Missouri, they teach for Tanglefooters and Carousel Club #110, give private lessons, and have served in numerous leadership roles within ICBDA, ORDA, KRDA, and other major round dance organizations across the country.
They have chaired national conventions, received the ICBDA Distinguished Service Award, taught at major festivals and events throughout the U.S. and Europe, and continue to inspire new dancers through classes, choreography, and youth outreach programs in local schools.
For Paul and Linda, dancing is more than steps and music — it’s friendship, joy, community, and giving back to the activity they love.
